A cherry on top of every
sundae.
During my first semester, we all had
went through with Computer in Education which was very fascinating because I
learned a lot about computers, software and some other amazing applications
available in the internet. In this class, I managed to learn the term of
Bitmap, Vector, e-learning and many more. Basically when I heard the name of
this course, I was expecting sort of the same environment with my previous
class where we would be in a computer lab, start doing research and have to do
many presentations in groups. However, I cannot really predict the future
whether this course is going to be memorable or the other way around. Well,
hopefully not the negative feedback of course. I think I am going to enjoy this
course because I already have the interest to learn more about computer and
gadgets. What’s more interesting is this course will teach me more on the
function of technology in education. I can’t wait to start Eucational
Technology’s first syllabus or chapter on the second week.
Later, I checked my iFolio and
got an announcement to do a one minute video about myself. Honestly, I was not
feeling well because of my sore throat but any students would be crazy not
grabbing the opportunity to get along with their lecturer by introducing
themselves even via virtually. I postponed the task until the day I went out to
The Curve. Why doing the video elsewhere you ask? It’s because I have done a
video about myself at my own house, this time I want to try something new and a
thought came across my mind to do my video at some place new. Making the video was
a lot of fun. First of all because I love watching myself speak in English and
second because I managed to entertain my
classmates and viewers when they watched my video titled, “About Me” but most
of all, I just wish I can see the look on my lecturer’s facial reactions when
she will eventually view my task in iFolio.

So far my first week as a second
year student is going fine since I have already met almost half of my juniors
in college and most of my seniors are super friendly. Therefore, I got no
problem whenever I’m in Faculty of Education. Now, about my first day enrolling
in Educational Technology, my friends and I were three minutes late because we
had to take the second bus since the first bus was already full of juniors from
Kolej Pendeta Za’ba. I was a little nervous as I pushed the classroom door.
Probably because I knew Prof Madya Dr Rosseni was already in class and I
thought she was going to scold me or maybe give me some sort of punishment for
being late but luckily, she did not do anything to embarrass us. So, thank you Prof Rosseni for being
incredibly nice to us on our first day.
My definition of technology is
any kind of electronic device that can give its beneficial towards human kind
to ease our everyday task or activities. Next, there is education which I would
interpret as a source of sharing or learning among the educators and students. It
does not matter who does the teaching as long as the process or giving and receiving
is alive in a classroom environment. However, educational technology can best
be seen as more of a study on how to use and manage technological equipments or
resources available. My last words would be to express how thankful I am to have such amazing lecturers and classmates that understands me more than anyone else in campus.
Thank you for reading and I will post more after this.
